This week at St. John UCC, Riegelsville, PA:
Over the last month and a half, we as a family of faith have been exploring the bedrocks of our belief in an effort to discover who we are as a people of faith.
This coming Sunday, November 10, 2013, we share together in all the information we have gathered and strive to develop a series of "We Believe" statements about our congregation and our faith in the God we serve.
Please plan to join us in worship and then share a soup and chili lunch, provided by the Bedrock Beliefs Team. Following lunch, the Rev. Dr. David DeRemer will join us to help us in our study. Come and participate, listen, laugh, and grow in faith with us. The event will conclude by 2:15 pm. All are welcome.
As a family of faith, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Culpepper family who will be celebrating the life of William Culpepper at the church on Saturday at 10 am. William is the brother in law of Sandy Serrone. We also extend prayers of comfort and sympathy to Glenn Hissim on the death of his father, Herman Hissim, who passed away on Sunday, November 3rd. Services for Herman will be shared on Saturday at 1 pm at the Snyder Funeral Home with Burial in the Riegelsville Cemetery.
The announcements for the week are as follows:
Fall Cleanup: Join us on Saturday, November 16th, for our 2nd Fall Cleanup event. We gather at 10 am with rakes, leaf blowers, garbage bags, and gloves to clean the church and parsonage yards. Many hands make light work. Please plan to come out and help!
